A very pleasant location to visit is Chef Alma @ Groenvlei where one can enjoy a cup of coffee in peace , sitting on the deck looking out over neatly cut lawns to the reed edged lake beyond. I enjoyed an excellent brunch of scrambled eggs on a toasted roll with smokey bacon, cheese and tomatoe/onion salza , a little pricey at R45 but worth it. The coffee brand is Lavazza which I have always enjoyed, hot and strong.
The main course menu looks interestisng as do the desserts and prices are reasonable . Chef Alma makes the most beautifully decorated Cupcakes - for anyone looking for something special for an occasion this is the place to go. Also offered is a Curry Buffet on Wednesday evenings, High Tea on Sunday afternoons, both need to be booked AND listen, Pensioners 10% discount on Tuesdays.
